Palsaik Korean BBQ

The RM128 set - 8 different types of pork marinated meat, one pot of Kimchi seafood hotpot and vegetables.

8 types: Ginseng, Wine, Pine Leaves, Garlic, Herb, Curry, Miso Paste, Hot

The waiter helped us to cook and prepare the necessary. We didn't have to do a single thing, how glorious! Boy, just ask for more garlic, the sauces that leak from the pork goes through the vegetables before leaking down to that little hole between the hot plate and the hot pot. The garlic gets the flavours too! *Only applicable to garlic eaters!

Out of all flavours, my favourite will probably be Ginseng and Garlic. Curry is strong but it was awkwardly weird. Some of the flavours like wine, is very mild.  The rest were just there but did not get my attention. It just wasn't as fragrant as expected.

Nevertheless, the pork was cooked to perfection. It was really juicy! Don't leave it on the plate for too long though.

Leaving it for too long completely destroys the marinade actually.

The Kimchi soup is more like the extras, it is very spicy and the borth is not thick. More like chicken stock soup with additional Kimchi paste and seafood. It was not spectacular, if it didn't come with the set, I will not order it.

Types of vegetables, all arranged nicely.

The menu is fairly simple. It is superb for those of you who can't make a decision. The set is much more worth it compared to the singles.

Some people may not like it due to many reasons it seems (eg. portion too small? marinade not sufficient so not much flavours on the meat itself?). I do not know but I do agree portion is slightly too small, and flavours are not strong for some marinades. If you're not going for the set, RM36 for one plate is really overly overpriced. Not sure how big the portion is, but if it's the same as what we get from the set it is completely not worth it at all. All in all, I would still go back for the set as I find it pretty decent and I'm satisfied with the service :)
