Sushiya

Visited Sushiya twice in a week, simply because their food is really up to par - one of the best places in town for good Sashimi / Jap don!

They are also known as Ichiro Sushi Bar (located at 1 Utama). The one big difference is this place is bigger and has better tables for groups, unlike Ichiro which offers very limited seats.

Hana Set (RM28)

Very affordable set that comes with miso soup, chawanmushi, otoshi and slices of sashimi. You are also allowed to switch your roll provided the option is either same price or lesser than the original.

Sadly, I don't see Hana on my second visit, only saw Yuki which comes with tempura instead of sashimi slices.

Salmon Salad

Sanmi  Don (RM80++)

Uni & Ikura Don (RM90++)

Kaisen Chirashi Don (RM60++)

I like this place as they serve exactly what you see from their menu, they are "not for illustration purposes only", they live up to their standards!

The typical Japanese restaurant entrance. Some people think it's hideous - obviously they haven't been to Japan then.

Ask for the specials, if you really want more than what you see from their menu :)

The only downside of Sushiya is that they charge RM50 for their 8 pax room which does not make much sense. Perhaps it's a Japanese rule but it can't be applied here - even 5 star hotels don't charge RM50, they would usually pre-authorise or notify us for cancellation fees, and not charge us for no reason. Apart from this odd charge, everything is just perfect!
