Harborcity Hong Kong Steamboat 海港火锅

Located just a few doors away from the popular Bone & Pot at Uptown. They offer really similar food - pork bone soup, homemade meat balls, and other hot pot condiments.

Just to test out which one I like more, I ordered most of the "similar" items - mixed homemade meat balls, century egg, pork slices and most importantly the pork bone soup.

They have limited sauces - Bone & Pot's sauces are nicer, they don't serve the fried onions unless you ask for it. Garlic is unlimited in Bone & Pot.

The highlight of the place - mixed homemade meat balls (RM16). This is a complete disappointment - the meatballs are absolutely tiny and not juicy at all. So much rationing and so tiny that I didn't have a clue what I was eating. I'm sorry to say the meatballs are Bone & Pot are so much better in terms of taste and freshness. The portion makes a lot of difference - if it's too small you can't really taste what on earth is that.

Century Egg (RM4.50)

Noodles (RM3)

He kept hard-selling this noodle but I really think it was not worth it at all. RM3 for half portion of the noodles, and it's practically like Pan Mee. You're just eating flour to have it expanded in your stomach. Was it worth the calories? Not quite.

That being said, I will not return nor recommend this place that's being to stingy to their customers. Limited sauces, rationing portions but charging a premium price. And yes, the Chinese cabbage worth RM1 but of course, you're in a restaurant - washing, cutting, serving, means a 500% increase. I find this place is a complete rip-off. If you want to charge that price, deliver the quality.

P/S: You better think twice about ordering any fresh seafood, there were only two tables over dinner, speaks a lot about their turnover rate.

Likes: Varieties.
Dislikes: Terrible parking. Expensive food for the tiny portion.
