Soi 19 Thai Steamboat

I was looking up for Mookata in Klang Valley and found this place. There is another one in Kuchai but I am guessing they are different. I have yet to validate this information yet.

Some sauces to go with the meat. Everything else are practically tasteless except the green chilli on the upper right side.

Mixed Pork Set (RM25)

...Fresh from the freezer?

It was nice to get refillable soup but it's tasteless...

Papaya Salad / Som Tam (RM10)

I think I like somtam, properly pounded. I guess their version is the sliced fruit and that's it...

Pad Thai (RM12.80)

This was served cold, dry and overly sweet... I just wouldn't order this again.

Raw Prawn Salad / Goong Che Nam Pla (RM16)

The raw prawns were good - but I'm quite skeptical about the freshness. Also, it was much better with their green chilli instead....

Overall, it's not too bad for budget Mookata - way more expensive than what you pay in Bangkok so don't compare. Though, I probably won't return due to the freshness of the meat...

Likes: Affordable and not too expensive
Dislikes: You can either choose the Mookata or Jim Jom set, can't have both... I thought the meat wasn't too fresh, cleanliness in this place is another question
