Thai Hou Sek

Pad Kra Pow (RM18)

Thai Um Hou Sek aaahhhhh... I've read wonderful reviews, received wonderful feedback about this place and I finally got a chance to visit. The Pad Kra Paw is practically salty, not tad bit spicy at all, egg is not even Thai style fried egg (no crispy bits at the side). For something considered as street food quality in Thailand, this is certainly not worth paying for. I've had the convi-pack ones in Family Mart / 7-11 Thailand which tasted a lot better than this. I am just wondering how can this be dubbed as good in the first place when they can't get the basics right?

Bangkok Braised Pork (RM16)

Another typical street food - Thai braised pork rice. Thai braised pork is usually cooked with cinnamon sticks, not a whole pack of cinnamon sticks!!! I tasted nothing but cinnamon in this dish. If it wasn't for the chilli nothing is edible. Both basic plates are not even up to par!

Likes: Strategically located in the mall
Dislikes: Expensive for street food and the quality is not even great. Service totally needs help - staffs love to throw plates on the table; is that even called serving? Urgh. Not sure if I want to give them a second chance.
