The Gate Hammersmith

Thai Green Curry (£13)

Back to my favourite vegetarian place in London. The last time, I had Indian red curry, this time we tried the Thai green curry. Le sister did not like it at all, but all of us enjoyed and thought it was a much healthier alternative.

Risotto Cake (£15)

This tasted better than it looks!! Mushroom and risotto, drizzled with truffle oil and topped with cheese and rockets!

Beetroot Burger (£10)

Don't say "ew" to beetroot - this probably scored the highest for the day. Beetroot and quinoa, so very healthy and the beetroot patty is very sweet and lightly crisp outside! The polenta chips served at the side is also very addictive - a little softer than usual potato fries and not as oily!

Aubergine (£14)

The same aubergine scnitzel I had previously! Except the sauces and sides have changed.

Cauliflower (£4)

Ordered sides - the cauliflower with smoked paprika tahini which is super addictive, I could snack on that all day!

Note: Reservation is highly recommended, I don't think anybody walks in as they have really limited tables. You don't want to go all the way just to find out that they are fully booked!

Likes: Healthy vegetarian food, nicely plated, friendly staffs.
Dislikes: Didn't think the mandatory charity was necessary - it should be given as an option before we pay... Not when it comes INCLUDED in the bill and we have to request it to be removed. We did not remove it anyway, too much effort. The point is we need to be informed of it before the bill comes, not automatically included.
