Outrigger Koh Samui

So here we are.. Courtesy of TheLuxeNomad. It was super random where I have decided to comment on their competition post. The prize for the competition is two nights stay in Outrigger Samui.

The entrance of the hotel is about 200m-300m from the main road. This is the perfect getaway for those who wants to avoid crowd.

One welcome gift set for each of us. Totally needed the refreshments after a long ride from Chaweng.

The pool area we pass by every time we leave our villa.

We upgraded our room from Plunge Pool Suite to the Ocean View Suite with an additional fee.

View from our room - unobstructed sea view. I recalled staying in Centara Phuket where they deemed "Ocean Facing is not Ocean View"; such nonsense did not exist in Outrigger.

It's not a very spacious area but it's good for two person to chill.

The pool is a really small one just to soak. Unfortunately it's sheltered by trees so the sun barely even shine to the pool. It was a bit too cold for us. Expect just minimal sunlight.

The weed and grass grew pretty quickly too - we had it sorted by informing the receptionist. The gardener dealt with the issue shortly after our report. It was soooo much neater then!

Complimentary coconut candies upon reaching our room.

The public pool. I thought it was a better place to swim and soak rather than the overly tiny pool with no sunlight in our room.

It was also fullmoon at the point of visit but we chose to stay in Samui instead of checking out Phangan. Well, it is also pretty from our room!

We woke up super early, at 5.30am if I remember correctly, just to check if there's "sunrise view". This was our sunrise view, totally unimpressive... I'm guessing it's the weather...

We spent 2 nights in this quiet villa, away from the world. Fortunately, they also have in house spa.

We went for the happy hour Thai massage session. We were greeted with fragrant pandan tea.

The massage is highly recommended! We enjoyed the really soothing massage, the massage that we felt we needed after a long ride from Surat Thani!

If you have a budget and can't afford super luxurious places, I find Outrigger stands in between. You can enjoy luxurious private villa with an inexpensive price tag. It's a very nice hideout for those who wants to get out of the busy streets of Samui. But do take note that it will be expensive for those who wants to go to other parts of the island for food or drinks. If you're staying here, plan your stay to stay in.

Nevertheless, there are free van rides to and fro hotel but just very limited time slots and spots. You will need to reserve ahead.
