Chong Qing Noodles 李大姐重慶小面

Braised Pork with Soya Beans (RM15.80)

Very generous portion... of soya beans and meat. I ate a lot of soya beans but there are still ample of it.

Black Fungus with Garlic and Onion (RM7.90)

Did not like this - the fungus was tad bit too hard. I prefer it to be a little softer, perhaps it wasn't soaked long enough I'm not sure but the one at Chef Kong is way better!

Cucumber with Chilli Oil (RM5.90)

Second favourite of all - this is just refreshing, crunchy with a hint of chilli. Very addictive!
Spicy Lotus Root (RM9.90)

Definitely my favourite! Never thought that lotus root can be a snack - a crunchy snack.

Pork Belly (RM15.90)

75% fats, 25% meat. I think they are trying to get all our arteries blocked... Jeez, definitely not for me...

Then comes the main - the spicy noodle. You can decide the level of spiciness - no chilli, mild, standard and very spicy. To be safe, we had the mild and standard. I thought the standard chilli was just about right for me. Fret not, you can always add additional chilli.

There are a few types to pick and I realise their broth are all the same. The only difference is chilli level and what type of meat you would like to have.

This is how a bowl of mild would look like. The portion is actually quite huge if you're not a big eater - consider sharing it with a friend!

A bowl of non-spicy noodle and a bowl of  regular spicy noodle. It looks fiercely red, but honestly it is just the looks. It's not really that spicy...

Chrysanthemum Tea (RM7)

The pretty chrysanthemum tea which is fairly priced higher than most places, but hey you get a pretty flower, why not.

Likes: Huge portion, affordable price, value for money, authentic Chinese noodles
Dislikes: The foreign waitresses are really rude, especially the Vietnamese lady. Took orders wrongly, served wrongly and charged us wrongly too. Yet she still did not apologise for her mistake. Get the local waitress to serve you instead.. This Viet lady is just ridiculously rude!
