FLOUR Restaurant

Eggplant curry - A must order!!

To dine in Flour, it is highly recommended to reserve a table - they are incredibly packed even on a weekday! Well I guess it's because there are very limited Northern Indian style food so it makes them look very better than most Indian joints in Klang Valley.

Fish curry (a little too fishy, not for everyone)

To be very fair, our overall experience was alright. Each dish comes with a bread to choose which I thought I did not like the idea of it. Can't it be like Dishoom where you order bread is ordered separately.... So there's just too much bread at the end of the day...

Mutton briyani was done very well in terms of taste, but the mutton portion is rather pathetic, say one piece each for 4 pax and it's gone. In Dishoom, they have a better balance between rice and meat.

Butter chicken - very creamy and the sauce is just to die for! Not stingy with butter...

I thought this was my favourite of all.. Goes well with the bread! Because each meal comes with bread, we tried different types and to be honest.... None of them were extraordinary. I'm not suggesting it's bad bread - it's really good but at the end of the night the breads were pretty much to same to me already... It was a bit too much for us.

Despite a couple of shortcomings, I have to say that this place is definitely worth returning for a bite or two if you crave for better quality Northern Indian curries, just not the place to dine and wine, it's a cafe...

Likes: One of the better places for  Northern Indian...
Dislikes: Portions are not too balanced, too much bread, the ambience is not really that great - too noisy and tables are just too close to each other, which does not give customers enough space. Corkage is too expensive for a casual cafe place like this (RM50 per bottle of wine, but at least they provide chilled glasses and ice). Just thought that it's not even a proper restaurant, it's just a cafe serving restaurant prices. It would be nice if they could consider making this place look more like a restaurant instead. Do expect slow service too/orders being left out too, they are too busy every night...

P/S: I was told that they are more responsive via Facebook, so I made my reservation through FB Messenger instead.
