This Hakka food place I've visited over a span of a year. It was then I realise this place is not the place I would recommend Hakka food intake.

Vegetable Stew / Suen Choy (RM10)

Most of their dishes were not cooked long enough and they just dash few spoons of corn flour to thicken the sauce.

Hakka Braised Pork with Mui Choy

Either that, or they serve inedible pork... so fat, where is the meat?!

The place is ridiculously packed regardless, perhaps to serve the neighbourhood crowd. Even if you reserve a table you're not necessarily getting one. We booked a table for 7 and they gave us a table for 5. When we told them we need a bigger one, they started to grumble and complain why do we need a big table. Well that's because we are ordering a lot and we can't fit into such a small table?!

Sambal Petai with Minced Pork (RM20+?)

If I have a label for them - it would be tai chow in an air-conditioned shop.

Also, the man who runs the place can't stop introducing ALL the most expensive items in the menu. Don't bother asking for recommendation.

The Hakka chicken rice wine? It's super diluted, possibly the poorest one I've had. Not enough rice wine and the whole pot is just like a tasteless soup - nothing but diluted.

After 4 times of dining here - it's time to say I will never go back again. Write off!!

**This post was sitting in the draft for a while now and I may have overlooked, but my thoughts of the place have never changed.

Go with ZERO expectations and treat them like a typical roadside tai chow and you will be fine since the dishes are fit to be that standards, or possibly the economy rice (chap fan) kind of level. Not anywhere near Hakka standards.

Likes: Some dishes are edible. eg. sour vegetables, minced pork and petai. Just choose the easy to fry dishes where you can get in most tai chow/chap fan places; those are totally safe choices. Don't try to be too adventurous...
Dislikes: The rest of the food are all tai chow standards. Unauthentic Hakka food, use corn flour in practically almost every dish that requires gravy. Be prepared to be served by Hokkiens instead of Hakkas.
