This has got to be one of our favourite among all the Michelin selections! Somehow, we enjoyed our one star more than two. La Dame De Pic has a Michelin star, keeping everything simple and most importantly it's real food instead of molecular crap.
Amuse bouche #1: Crisps
Amuse bouche #2: Mmmm anything with cheese wins my heart!
Amuse bouche #3: Rose, not sure what is it called but it's a little cold ball with rose water in it. It gets a bit messy if you bite it as it's meant to be popped in without biting.
Mushroom consommé
Foie Gras Crème Brûlée
Very beautifully presented.. It has a very thin layer of sugar which was just nice for me. I thought it was less rich as compared to the foie gras I had at Hélène Darroze at The Connaught. For those who doesn't like it too rich, this version is will actually suit you.
The brioche that came with the foie gras. I have to admit this wasn't as good as Dinner's brioche. But at least it's a healthier option, it's not as oily!
Fresh rainbow trout served with sour cream and pickled cucumbers.
The suckling pig that is somewhat similar to Chinese suckling pig - a little layer of fats and meat beneath the crispy skin.
Red mullet served with hispi cabbage - it seems to be a very popular dish in this place.
La Dame De Pic's signature dessert - The White Millefeuille.
Chocolate and ice cream.
3 courses lunch came to £39 per pax.
The lunch set does not come with coffee, just for your information.
Likes: Simple food, affordable lunch sets, polite and attentive staffs (they look like students in training - sneakers?), great location too - it's in Four Seasons London and easily accessible via Tower Hill station.
Dislikes: Nothing
